The finish on the 1991-2001 models is a black paint with a slight silver tint, while the 2002-2005 models have a silver color finish. The NSX-R door trim panels, which are only available in Right Hand Drive models, feature distinguishable differences. The NA1 NSX-R has a pure black finish with a shiny texture, while the 2002-2005 NSX-R features a carbon fiber piece at the bottom of the door trim panel. Both NSX-R models come with a coin tray instead of a power mirror switch panel.
