OEM Honda / Acura NSX side scuff plates.
The scuff plates are usually the telltale of what model an NSX is. Whether it be a base, NSX Type-R, or custom made NSX.
These plates are where the VIN numbers are printed on. Placed at the bottom area of the door, just near the side skirts, these emblems are hard to miss.
As time progresses these plates can get scratched or damaged which can make it look worn out or unsightly.
Luckily the scuff plates can be easily replaced; though the VIN number does not come engraved onto the new scuff plates.
Honda produced three styles for the scuff plates;
-The standard NSX scuff plate, silver
-The NA1 NSX-R scuff plate which has the iconic NSX-R branding with a metallic surround
-The NA2 NSX-R scuff plate which also has the iconic NSX-R branding with a metallic surround
-The custom scuff plate only found on customized NSXs when purchased brand new from the dealership in Japan.
The scuff plates come in pairs. A side for the passenger and the driver.
