OEM 2000+ NSX ABS Upgrade (Does Not Include ABS Modulator). This setup is designed to assist early model NSXs experiencing issues with a failing or underperforming ABS system. The 1991-1999 ABS system is known for its tendency to break down, often requiring the accumulator to be overhauled.
The 2000+ standard and NSX-R ABS modulators have several key differences:
- The standard, Type S, and Type S Zero all share the same brake hardware, and the software is optimized for performance across various driving conditions. This system is ideal for nearly all NSX owners, except those with track-only builds.
- The NSX-R features a smaller brake master cylinder and brake booster, with the modulator programmed to accommodate these differences. The programming is optimized for track driving, which may result in less-than-optimal performance on city streets.

- The last major difference is the wiring harness. Unlike other kits, the MITA ABS harness is designed to be fully compatible with the factory diagnostic tools. Developed in collaboration with NSX experts at T3TEC, this harness meets or exceeds Honda’s factory standards and allows for servicing at your local Honda/Acura dealer as if your NSX were a 2000+ model.
- To update the ABS system to the newer generation, an electrical harness is required. The updated T3TEC-developed harness fits both Honda NSXs and Acura NSXs, and includes the OEM error check connector.
For 1995-1999 applications, replacing the ABS indicator light relay is necessary.
