Many problems such as air conditioner temperature adjustment failure and air volume adjustment failure in the NSX originate from capacitor liquid leakage within the A/C control board. Over time, leakage can progress to internal shorting and collateral damage to surrounding components. This is a known failure point on aging NSX models—especially those with high mileage—regardless of cosmetic or mechanical condition.

This overhaul kit addresses these failure modes by proactively replacing all critical capacitors and components within the board. Even if your A/C appears to be functioning normally, early symptoms such as the system resetting when the engine is turned off (i.e., A/C does not retain its ON status after restarting) are clear signs of impending failure. In such cases, waiting could result in irreversible board damage or IC shorts, at which point repairs become non-viable and full board replacement is the only option.

  35V 330μF, 35V 100μF, 35V 47μF (x4), 35V 22μF,
  50V 47μF, 50V 3.3μF, 50V 0.47μF,

• Variations in lead pitch and through-hole spacing require careful component bending during installation.

• Earlier revision boards often showed severe damage and were beyond overhaul, which reinforces the value of early preventive maintenance.

• Later generation boards are still in good physical condition but may still exhibit early symptoms—this kit is a cost-effective solution to mitigate risk before failure escalates.

• Post-installation testing confirms that the A/C system reliably retains its ON state after engine restart, resolving intermittent reset behavior.
